Acceptance
These Terms of Membership (“Terms”) govern your use of the website anorthernlight.org and any coaching engagement with A Northern Light Coaching & Development (“A Northern Light,” “we,” “us”). By booking a consultation or session, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the services.
What coaching is — and is not
A Northern Light provides professional coaching: a confidential, forward-looking working relationship focused on clarity, decisions, and performance. Coaching is not psychotherapy, counseling, medical or psychiatric treatment, aeromedical certification advice, security-clearance adjudication, or legal advice. We do not diagnose, treat, or create clinical records. Coaching is not a substitute for care from a licensed clinician, physician, attorney, AME/HIMS AME, or your security officer where that is needed. See the Disclaimer.
Eligibility
Services are intended for adults (18+) who can enter a binding agreement. You are responsible for ensuring that engaging a coach is consistent with any obligations specific to your profession.
Sessions, scheduling, and cancellation

Fees and payment

Confidentiality and its limits
We treat your engagement as confidential and limit disclosure as described in our Privacy Policy. Because coaching is not a licensed clinical service, it does not carry clinical privilege. We may disclose information only where required by law, to prevent imminent risk of serious harm, or at your direction.
Not professional advice; your responsibility
Insights shared in coaching are general and for your consideration. You remain solely responsible for your own decisions and actions, including any decisions about medical care, certification, disclosure, employment, or legal matters. Confirm profession-specific requirements with the appropriate authority (for example, your AME or HIMS AME, FSO or security officer, licensing board, or qualified counsel).
No guarantee of outcomes
Coaching outcomes depend on many factors. We make no guarantee of any particular result, including any career, certification, clearance, or clinical outcome.
Emergencies
Coaching is not a crisis or emergency service. If you are in crisis, contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988), the Veterans Crisis Line (988, then press 1), Military OneSource (1-800-342-9647), or your local emergency number.
Intellectual property
Site content and materials we provide are owned by A Northern Light or our licensors and are provided for your personal, non-commercial use. Please do not reproduce or redistribute them without permission.
Suspension or termination
Either party may end an engagement at any time. We may decline or discontinue service where coaching is not an appropriate fit or where these Terms are not followed.
Disclaimer of warranties; limitation of liability

Governing law
